Description
Blue Tit perched on moss log in woodland.The Blue Tit can be found in most gardens,parks and woodland.They can be attracted to garden bird feeders in wintertime.Their normal staple diet of caterpillars when they have a brood to feed.Blue Tits can normally be seen high on mature Oak trees.Both sexes are similar but the male is usually more colourful.Blue Tits will join mixed flocks in search of food in wintertime.
They will pair up in February and find a suitable nestbox or hollow.They can usually have broods of seven to fourteen as they have a large fatality rate often to the domestic cat or pasing Sparrowhawk.Due to their bright colours they are easily targeted.
